How telecommuting benefits workers, what they prefer while doing it

Lower stress, better health and increased productivity — these aren’t the results of a company-sponsored wellness program, they’re the benefits workers say they get from telecommuting.

So says a study by TeamViewer, which polled 506 U.S. residents on the benefits of working from home, as well as their personal preferences while they’re doing it.

Some of the interesting findings from the TeamViewer study:

  • Saving money on gas and having no daily commute was the top benefit workers said they got from telecommuting, with 80% of the respondents citing this, and
  • More than a quarter (26.68%) of telecommuters like to work in their pajamas.
